Episode 2 - Tash, Ruby & George
In this episode of Kiwi Birth Tales, Tash takes me through her two pregnancies and births. Tash has had two Caesarean Section births - one emergency and one elective.
Tash knew something didn’t feel right during a long labour with her first born, Ruby, so she went to the hospital to be checked - eventually finding out she was right. Rubys umbilical cord had prolapsed and she was now in serious danger - each contraction pushing Ruby closer to the cord, which could cause her to lose access to her oxygen and blood supply. Tash also talks about the complications she had after Rubys birth due to an undiagnosed medical condition - Bicornuate Uterus.
After this traumatic experience with Ruby, Tash wanted to take back control of her second birth as much as she could, and takes me through how she did that with George. Tash had an elective Caesarean which was the positive experience she had hoped for.
This episode is a really great tale of gaining control after a difficult first birthing experience, I know you will enjoy it. You can find Tash on Instagram @tashs.things
